Mid-Week Gathering - Wednesday, April 18 - 5:30-7:30

Our meal will be served at 5:30. Prayer meeting and Heritage Kids will follow from 6:15-7:30. Nursery available. 

 

Gospel Project - Sunday, April 22 - 9:30-10:15

We continue our Spring study (March-May) entitled "Letters to God's People." This week, we will look at a passage in Paul's letter to the Romans. 

Kids: Children of God (Romans 8:12-39)

Students & Adults: Once Slaves, Now Children (Romans 8:12-39)

Sunday Morning Worship - Sunday, April 22 - 10:30-12:00

We will conclude this brief two-part series. This Sunday, we will look at Jeremiah 20. 

MASH Offering - Sunday, April 22

This upcoming Sunday is our monthly MASH offering. Heritage Kids can bring their cans and adults can bring their checks/cash. Checks can be made out to HBC with "MASH" on the memo line. 

 

Upcoming Events:

College and Career Group

College and Career Group is planning to conduct its initial meeting in Mid-May. Please be prepared to go and discuss some ideas, thoughts, needs, etc. It is for anyone aged 18-30ish, married or single. Please see Patrick or Annette Rowe for more details. 

New Sermon Series!

We will begin a new sermon series through the life of Joseph (Genesis 37-50) on Sunday mornings beginning April 29. 

5th Sunday Lord's Supper - April 29 

We will take communion together in the morning during our 5th Sunday service on April 29. 

Church Family Meeting - April 29, 5pm

  • Vote on Tom Pope as Deacon for Missions. If you have any biblical concerns regarding Tom's qualifications for the office, please speak to any of your pastors BEFORE the meeting. 
  • Hear a report from Brandon Boswell and the Heritage Emergency Response Team (HERT) regarding preparedness and procedures in the event of an emergency. 
  • Celebrate the grace of God to use in the gift of the Plummer Family (Shad and Heidi and their children) to our congregation with an after-meeting ice cream social. The Plummers will be moving to Utah soon.

Here's what upcoming for the week of April 9-15.

Mid-Week Gathering - Wednesday, April 11 - 5:30-7:30

Our meal (BBQ) will be served at 5:30. Prayer meeting and Heritage Kids will follow from 6:15-7:30. Nursery available. The Houstons will be presenting about their recent visit to the Emadis, our missionaries to Ireland.  

REACH Ladies Prayer Breakfast - Saturday, April 14 - 9:00am

Ladies, join us for a prayer breakfast this coming Saturday morning. 

 

Gospel Project - Sunday, April 15 - 9:30-10:15

We continue our Spring study (March-May) entitled "Letters to God's People." This week, we will look at a passages in Paul's letters to church leaders (i.e. the pastoral epistles). 

Kids: Paul's Letters to Church Leaders (1 Tim. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 4:1-8; Titus 2:11-14)

Students & Adults: Toward Obedience to His Word (1 Tim. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 4:1-8; Titus 2:11-14)

 

Sunday Morning Worship - Sunday, April 15 - 10:30-12:00

We will begin a brief two-part series. This Sunday, we will look at 1 Kings 19. 

 

Sunday Evening Worship - Sunday, April 15 - 5:00-6:00

We will begin providing a monthly, optional, 3rd Sunday evening worship service. This hour of spiritual encouragement and edification will be enjoyed in the chapel and include singing, a brief time of sharing and prayer, followed by a 30 minute opening of God’s Word by one of our many gifted preachers. The service will not be substantially different from our morning gatherings except shorter and simpler. With a view to minimizing “manpower” there will be no AV or childcare.

Here's what upcoming for the week of April 1-8. 

Mid-Week Gathering - Wednesday, April 4 - 5:30-7:30

Our meal (breakfast) will be served at 5:30. Prayer meeting and Heritage Kids will follow from 6:15-7:30. Nursery available. 

Heritage Kids will host a special Spring Break "game night" vs. Heritage Youth this Wednesday from 6:15-7:30!

Men's Breakfast - Saturday, April 7 - 7:00-8:30am

 

Our men will gather for their monthly breakfast this Saturday to give special encouragement to young men aged 13-15. If you have a 13-15 year old boy in your life, be sure to bring them!

Gospel Project - Sunday, April 8 - 9:30-10:15

We continue our Spring study (March-May) entitled "Letters to God's People." This week, we will look at a passage in the Apostle John's first letter.

Pastor Thad will be preaching this coming Sunday morning from Hebrews 10:19-39.

Additionally, here's an excellent "Holy Week" devotional from Desiring God. It contains a daily reading from Palm Sunday through Good Friday to Resurrection Sunday. You can download it here. We hope it is an encouragement to you this week!

Good Friday Service - Friday, March 30 - 6:00-7:30

Join us for our Good Friday service this Friday evening! We will be reading Scripture, singing, observing the Lord's Supper and reflecting on our Savior's sacrifice for our sin with our brothers and sisters from Garden Green Baptist Church and Gospel Community Church. 

Gospel Project - Sunday, April 1 - 9:30-10:15

This Sunday, in light of Resurrection Sunday, we will take a break from our regular study. 

Kids: Jesus' Crucifixion and Resurrection (Matthew 26:36-28:10)

Students & Adults: Proclaiming the Resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-28)

Sunday Morning Worship - Sunday, April 1 - 10:30-12:00

 

We will be looking at Psalm 27 with a sermon on the resurrection called "Looking Upon the Lord in the Land of the Living." Invite friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to join you!

Gospel Project - Sunday, March 25 - 9:30-10:15

On these weeks leading up to Resurrection Sunday, students adults will continue their study called "Letters to God's People, looking at key passages from the epistles of the New Testament. The kids classes will look at the Triumphal Entry. 

Kids: The Triumphal Entry (Matthew 21:1-17; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; John 12:12-19)

Students & Adults: Toward an Enduring Identity (1 Peter 2:1-17)

We will conclude our "Devoted" sermon series by looking at what it means to be "devoted...to the breaking of the prayers" (Acts 2:42).

The HBC REACH Women's Retreat is this Friday and Saturday.

We will continue our new study this quarter (March-May) in our Sunday Morning classes called "Letters to God's People." We will be looking at key passages in the epistles of the New Testament. This week, we will look at the second chapter of James.
